Rovio, the developers of Angry Birds, are jubilant with the success of their award winning game. Therefore, the team is expanding the franchise to the social networking website Facebook.
The game enjoys 75 million downloads world wide and 30 million only on Android Devices. This does not take into account the game available freely on Torrents and stuff.
The official Angry Birds page on Facebook says that the game will be coming to the Facebook in about a month. In order to get update about the game you have to “like” the page. Already 1,269,632 people have done exactly that.
Rovio’s CEO Mikael Hed said:
“there will be completely new aspects to it that just haven’t been experienced in any other platform,” and “the pigs will have a more prominent role.”
A little about the game: The pigs (mentioned by the CEO) are the main villains in the game where as the birds are on the “Good Side”.
